Tap The Trades

What's new

  1. Add your own role level, skill, or license

If your role level, a skill, or a license isn't on the list, tap Other and type it in, when you sign up or when you edit your profile. Companies see it on your profile with the rest of your answers.

  2. Plans and prices

Plans are now called Core, Pro, Scale, and Enterprise, at $1,499, $1,899, $2,399, and $3,399 a month. Each still has a 3-month minimum and the same job and contact limits as before.

Sign in with Apple on the website

The website's log-in and sign-up pages, and team invitations, now offer Continue with Apple alongside Google and email.

Delete your account on the website

Accounts that sign in with Apple or Google can now delete their account from Settings on the website by signing in with that account again, instead of being asked for a password. Deleting an Apple account also disconnects it from Sign in with Apple.

  3. Trade licenses

Certifications now include a For your trade list with licenses for the trades a tradesperson picks, such as Master Plumber, Journeyman Electrician, Low Pressure Boiler License, and RETA certifications for ammonia work. The general certifications stay available to everyone.

    Worked on sections

What a tradesperson has worked on is now split into Skills, Equipment, Brands, and Project types, both while they fill it in and when a company views their profile. Every trade can pick project types such as Commercial, Residential, Industrial, Multifamily, Tenant Improvement, Ground-Up, and Remodel / Renovation, and an Anything else box takes work, equipment, or brands that aren't on the lists.

  4. Health & Safety trade

Health & Safety is now a trade for tradespeople, company field trades, job posts, and search filters.

  5. Session recording disclosure

The privacy policy explains that the website records how its pages are used. Public pages are recorded with their text and images, pages inside an account are masked, and what you type is never recorded. The mobile app does not record sessions.

    Terms and privacy updates

The Terms set zero tolerance for abusive content, explain what blocking does, and commit to acting on reports within 24 hours. The privacy policy now covers Sign in with Apple in the mobile app.

  6. Boost top-ups

A boost top-up adds the amount you chose to your balance. Sales tax charged at checkout no longer counts as boost funds.

  7. Paying for a plan

Plans no longer start with a free trial. The first month is charged at checkout, billing continues monthly, and the 3-month minimum starts the day the subscription begins.

    Trades Pulse

The home page has a Trades Pulse section with daily hiring figures for the MEP trades. It shows new openings by trade, the busiest hiring states and metros, how long listings stay open, apprenticeship and safety-training numbers, and headlines from trade publications.

  8. Phone notifications

The mobile app notifies tradespeople about new messages, interviews, hires, and application decisions, and company owners about new messages and applicants. Message notifications name the sender without showing the text, and each one can arrive up to about 10 minutes after the event.

    Notification settings

Settings has a separate Notify my phone switch for each kind of notification, so phone alerts and emails turn on and off independently. News and offers stays off until you turn it on.

  9. Multiple role levels

Tradespeople can pick every role level that fits them, such as Journeyman and Foreman together, during setup and when editing their profile. Companies see all of them on the profile, and the role level filter in candidate search matches any of them.

  10. Privacy and terms pages

The site has its own Privacy Policy and Terms of Service pages, linked from sign-up and from the home page footer, which also links to LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.

    Content rules

Messages, profiles, company profiles, and job posts that contain offensive language are refused with a note asking you to remove it.

  11. Review before you finish

Setup answers stay on your device until a final Review screen, where you can edit any section or switch between tradesperson and company. Create my profile or Choose my plan saves everything at once and makes the account type permanent.

  12. Delete your account

Settings has a Delete account option that lists what will be removed and asks for your password, or for accounts that sign in with Google or Apple, to sign in with that account again. Deleting a company account cancels its subscription right away, and a team member's deletion removes only their own login and seat. A public page explains the steps for anyone who can't sign in.

    Reports and blocking

In the mobile app, people can report an account for spam, harassment, scams, or inappropriate content, and block it. Blocking stops messages in both directions and hides a blocked tradesperson's profile from the company. Reports go to our team for review.

  13. Shared favorites

A company's favorite candidates are now one list for the whole team. When an owner or a team member marks a candidate as a favorite, everyone on the account sees it in candidate search and on the candidate's profile.

  14. Job search

Search open jobs by title, trade, or state, then load 30 more at a time. Saved jobs remain available even when they fall outside the loaded pages, while boosted placement applies only to the first unfiltered page.

  15. Help throughout each workspace

Signed-in tradespeople and company users can open a floating Help conversation throughout their workspace, choose an issue category, send a message, and read support replies without leaving their work.

    Failed subscription payments

Candidate search and new candidate contacts stop as soon as a subscription becomes past due, while existing job posts remain live. Access returns automatically after payment succeeds.

  16. Boost controls

Companies can add prepaid boost funds, give a job priority placement, set or edit a spending cap, pause or resume the boost, and track clicks and spending. Confirmed customers receive a one-time $25 starter credit, and owners can add $25, $50, or $100 through checkout.

    Boost billing

A candidate's first job-detail view in a 24-hour period costs 75 cents. Repeat views, views by the posting company's team, and non-candidate views are free, and a boost pauses when its cap or wallet balance is exhausted.

    Support conversations

Signed-in users can send categorized messages to support and receive replies in one live conversation.

  17. Trades and preferences

Tradespeople can choose multiple trades, including Carpentry. Skill and brand choices adapt to those trades, while role tiers, shift preferences, and overtime preferences provide more detail for matching.

    Background dictation

Tradespeople can dictate their background, append the transcript to existing text, edit it afterward, and retry or type if recording fails.

  18. Guest talent browsing

Signed-out visitors can browse anonymized candidate summaries. Individual candidate profiles remain unavailable until sign-up and the required company access.

  19. Team accounts

Invite colleagues into your company account from settings; pending invitations reserve a seat, expire after seven days, work only for the invited email, and cannot exceed the plan's seat allowance. Cancel an unused invitation or remove a member, while owners cannot downgrade to a plan with fewer seats than their current team.

    Shared company work

Team members share the owner's jobs, applications, candidate access, and message threads. Plan limits belong to the company account, and only the owner manages billing.

    Shared company inbox

Your whole team works from one inbox, and every message shows which teammate sent it. Sender names remain attached to older messages.

    Application tracking

Applications move through applied, reviewing, interview, hired, and rejected. Open a job to see everyone who applied, then open a person to move them along, book or cancel an interview, or record a decision.

    Contacting people who applied

Companies can always view and message someone who applied to their job, even if the plan's contact allowance is used up. If the tradesperson hid their public profile, the applicant view explains that instead of appearing broken.

    Updates for tradespeople

Tradespeople have a page tracking every job they applied for.

  20. Cancelling a subscription

Companies can schedule cancellation for the end of their commitment or billing period, and reverse a scheduled cancellation.

    Subscription restrictions

A company's first job stays hidden until checkout succeeds. Plan downgrades are unavailable during the three-month minimum.

    Plan allowances

Core, Pro, and Scale support 3, 6, and 10 active jobs, plus 20, 50, and 100 new candidate contacts. Enterprise has no job or contact limit.

    Access after plan changes

Existing conversations remain available after candidate-search access ends, while jobs beyond a reduced plan allowance are archived rather than deleted.

    Candidate profiles and search

Candidates can add their role level, union status, a custom trade, certifications, and a short introduction video beside their profile photo. Companies can filter by trade, role level, and union status, then play the video from the profile.

    Company profiles

Companies can review and edit their contact details, location, company type, team size, market focus, union status, field trades, office roles, description, and logo from settings.

  21. Voice-assisted profiles

Tradespeople can build a profile by speaking or by filling out the form. A recording is transcribed into an editable draft, while unsupported pay values and inconsistent relocation answers are left out.

    Voice privacy and fallback

Recordings and transcripts are not saved after the draft is returned. The regular profile form remains available throughout.

    Public listing privacy

Before sign-up, job listings hide company identity and talent previews use anonymized profiles. Contact details, background, worked-on skills, pay, photos, and videos stay hidden until the visitor has the required account access.

  22. Employer billing

Companies can choose Core, Pro, Scale, or Enterprise through checkout. Existing subscribers can manage payment details, switch plans, or cancel through the billing portal.

    Company onboarding

Company setup collects the logo, contact details, company type, team size, market focus, union status, field trades, office and management roles, company description, first job, and selected plan. Union status accepts one answer at a time.

    Complete candidate profiles

Candidate profiles include work history, licenses and certifications, travel and relocation preferences, current and desired pay, background-check and drug-screen status, a photo, and an introduction video. Candidate search is available only when the employer's plan includes it.

    Jobs after a plan ends

When a subscription ends, active jobs are archived and removed from search instead of being deleted. Companies can restore them after regaining posting access, subject to the current plan's active-job allowance.

  23. Accounts and onboarding

People can sign in with email or Google, reset an email password, and return to the correct workspace. New members choose tradesperson or company on a dedicated step before onboarding, and Google sessions survive the sign-in popup closing and later page reloads.

    Tradesperson workspace

Tradespeople can build a profile, browse and save jobs, apply, message employers, and control whether they are available or visible in company searches. Their dashboard shows saved jobs, applications, messages, and recent activity from live account data.

    Company workspace

Companies can build a profile, search and save candidates, post jobs, see applicant counts, and message tradespeople. Their dashboard and unread-message counts update from live account data.

    Profile and password settings

Tradespeople can edit their name, phone, trade, experience, certifications, travel, relocation, and pay information. Email-password accounts can change their password after confirming the current one, while social accounts continue to manage passwords with their provider.
